Under the bright lights of Hard Rock Stadium, four of PRIME’s best and brightest will look to put each other’s lights out.
With the dust settled in the G1 Tournament round robin, reigning EWC Wrestler of the Year Jordan Sharpe will stare down Dio, Faith Rivers, and Silas Isaac Naberius in a Fatal Four-Way Light Tube Match as he looks to continue his historic Indy Championship by going wire-to-wire in the G1, having racked up three more title defences over the course of the round-robin.
With five out of a possible six points in the A Block, JFS will look to join the man he defeated to claim his first Indy Championship, Killjoy Ito, as a PRIME G1 winner, with the man now known as ‘The Ace of Paramount’ claiming the crown in 2019, also in a Fatal Four-Way clash involving then-Indy Champion Carlos Ruiz, Nevaeh, and Stitches.
However, the other competitors gunning for the Indy Championship have made their voices heard throughout the G1.
While Sharpe could have gone into the final undefeated, Dio had other plans, as the 21-year-old Philosopher penetrated the contender ranks with an opening round draw against Sharpe on PRIME #76 in an early candidate for Match of the Year, with the two also sharing MVP honours for the show.
From there, it was academic for Dio as he defeated Kendrick Kross on PRIME #77 before locking up his spot in the match with a submission win over Jamie Love, matching Sharpe’s five points atop the A Block while leaving Love and Kross in the dark.
On the other side, after defeating Victor Jarvis and Remarkable Mark Keaton to begin the G1, Faith Rivers could have locked up the B Block all for herself with even a draw on PRIME #78. However, the already-eliminated Narumi Tsutsumi played spoiler in Adelaide, as she not only cost the veteran Rivers a chance to cut the G1 Final down to a Triple Threat, but she also claimed the Showtime Broadcast Championship in the process.
In essence, Faith left the door open for S.I.N., and he made the most of his opportunity.
Making his return to EWC as an injury replacement for Victor Jarvis following PRIME #76, Naberius wasted no time making his mark, quickly getting into the win column on PRIME #77 with a win over Tsutsumi to set up a pivotal match with Remarkable Mark Keaton on PRIME #78.
Knowing he had to win to have a shot, S.I.N. took it to Keaton in a particularly nasty encounter on both sides, eventually securing the win with a Silas Ladder, and later claiming a StrangleMania spot after Tsutsumi’s victory later in the evening.
Both Rivers and S.I.N. finished with four points in the B Block, with no available head-to-head tiebreaker as Rivers defeated Jarvis prior to the latter’s injury.
A lot changed Down Under in relation to the G1, and at StrangleMania, we’ll see who overcomes the odds to claim the G1 crown, and the Indy Championship along with it.
Will Jordan Sharpe continue to be INDYniable? Will Dio get an INDYpendent look at PRIME’s top prize? Will Faith Rivers bounce back to declare her INDYpendence atop Prime at her fellow Faithful Hero’s expense? Or will Silas Isaac Naberius make it the SINdy Championship?
The lights, and light tubes, will reveal all on March 29th.
